When should you book a single session?

Ideal for: people who want professional advice on food they are eating and want to make small changes.

You can always book a review consult afterwards if you need more guidance and questions to answer.

When will you need a review?

Follow-up sessions are good to monitor progress, make adjustments, revamp recipes and answer questions. We recommend reviews for clients who wish to have sustained and effective results. It is also important for more complex health conditions to ensure you are getting the support you need.

How many sessions do I need?

The exact number of sessions will be dependent on the purpose of your visit, medical background and length of therapy. The best person to ask is your dietitian.

We offer packaged sessions at discounted rates.

What to Expect at Your Consultation?

A session with a dietitian can be quite different from a consultation with your doctor. An initial consultation is one (1) hour, this enables the dietitian to have a deep understanding of your history, current diet, lifestyle and any additional information that can form your management plan. Prior to your first consultation, you will receive an email from us asking to fill in a questionnaire involving basic information and quick nutrition-related questions so the dietitian can prepare for their session with you. We will also ask you to prepare a 3 day food diary if time allows.

At your first session, the dietitian will conduct a nutrition and health assessment based on the information you provided. Whilst the dietitian may have a goal in mind such as meeting your health and wellness goals, help you improve your relationship with food and build a greater understanding on nutrition. We will also like you to be involved and talk about your expectations from the session.

Once the dietitian has collected all the relevant information, they will design an individualized and tailored plan together with you.

This may also involve:

  • Providing an education on the science of your health condition to give you a 'foundation' understanding

  • Identifying factors or key areas that may be contributing to your condition

  • Create practical strategies to work towards your goals

  • Set short and long term goals

In many situations, there could be a lot to cover and the dietitian may recommend to create a plan involving several sessions to monitor progress, make adjustments and answer questions. We have packages available so you could get full support on your health journey with reduced cost.
